SWE Santa Clara Valley is a large and thriving section thanks to the participation of many.

There are many ways to get involved:

• Volunteer for student outreach, like our amazing GetSET summer camp for high school girls. Watch the monthly newsletter and event calendar for student outreach opportunities.

• Apply for a SWE Award.

• Contribute financial support for our programs or connect us to your company's community outreach department.

We are currently recruiting for these leadership roles on the GetSET team:

• The Director of Recruitment acts as the liaison between GetSET, potential candidates, and their parents. They manage the school counselor distribution list and participate in monthly planning meetings. The role involves establishing communication strategies for recruiting new candidates, coordinating interviews, and overseeing the acceptance process. Additionally, the Director coordinates volunteer participation and collaborates with the SWE Executive Committee.  Work closely with the GetSET Planning committee at monthly meetings, interfacing with Directors of Counselors, Curriculum and Volunteers.  Data is currently tracked with Excel and Google Docs/Forms.  Seasonal, average 2 hours/week at peak times with some more focused effort on certain activities.  For more information, reach out to getsetswe@gmail.com

• The Director of Registration serves as the communication liaison for current participants, informing them about upcoming requirements and activities. They coordinate with camp counselors, tracking registration materials, and create binders containing selfie photos and medical information for counselors to use during the summer camp week. Work closely with the GetSET Planning committee at monthly meetings, interfacing with Directors of Counselors, Curriculum and Volunteers.   Manage the Class Ambassador program and Senior Essay Contest ($500 cash award to winning essay).  Collaborate with the SWE Executive Committee.  Data is currently tracked with Excel and Google Docs/Forms. • The SWE-SCV Fund Development Group Director is a leadership role responsible for developing and implementing a fundraising strategy to provide for the financial sustainability of SWE-SCV programs, including the annual scholarship awards and GetSET. This individual will lead the Fund Development Committee monthly meetings and work closely with the board, staff, and volunteers to cultivate and solicit major gifts and build ongoing relationships with donors.  For more information, reach out to swe.scv.fdg@gmail.com
