Resume Workshop for Collegiate SWE Members

We are planning a virtual resume workshop for collegiate SWE members to prepare resumes for the WE 2020 Virtual Conference. The Resume Workshop will take place (virtually) on Thursday, October 15, 2020, 6 - 8 PM, and is meant for collegiate SWE members in the Santa Clara Valley area (and beyond).

If you are able to volunteer as a resume editor during the SWE Resume Workshop, please fill out this form. Resume editors will help a group of approximately five students edit and improve their resumes.

Attendees will be asked to submit their resumes at least one week ahead of the Resume Workshop so that they can be sorted into groups based on how much help their resumes need. If the Resume Workshop time does not work with your schedule, please sign up to sort resumes. Resume sorting should be a relatively quick task, depending on how many participants register, and can be done by volunteers any time between October 8th and October 15th. The Zoom link for the workshop will be sent before the event.

Again, if you are able to attend the Resume Workshop, please sign up here to help students edit their resumes. We will be inviting SWE sections from schools in the Santa Clara Valley area, and possibly other areas. We are hoping for approximately 100 students to attend, so we need at least 20 volunteers to register. If more members register as volunteers, we can pair more volunteers with groups and help more students prepare their resumes. This event requires relatively little time from volunteers, but we need your help to make this event a success!
