FY23 SCV SWE & Golden Gate Joint Scholarship Recognition

We promote SWE's mission by awarding scholarships to local women pursuing an accredited engineering or computer science degree in the United States.

This is a joint event with Santa Clara Valley SWE and Golden Gate SWE. We are hoping to have a great event to kick off coming back to in person meetings. Join us for networking, a delicious lunch, and presentation of our incredible scholarship recipients!

Learn about our keynote speaker, Ariel Sampson!

Ariel is a multi-year SCV SWE Scholarship recipent. Ariel is finishing her Master's in Aerospace Engineering at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering degree with an aeronautics concentration and entrepreneurship minor. Her thesis has focused on assessing the feasibility of an all-electric, narrowbody airliner using battery-powered propulsion. Ariel is involved in Cal Poly's Equestrian Team and active in Cal Poly SWE and Santa Clara Valley SWE. She is joining Boeing in the fall as an aircraft configuration and design engineer, where she hopes to make commercial aviation more sustainable.
